Characterization through language

I have already discussed the use of language to outline the character of a dramatic figure, and I provided some characterizations of the different dramatic figures in Sweeney Todd. At this point I will discuss some more distinctions of this form of characterization.

There are two fundamental distinctions we can make: there is implicit and explicit self-representation. And when we discuss about explicit self-representation, we can also distinguish between voluntary and involuntary self-representation.
