The relationship between dialogues

The temporal relationship between dialogues is also succesive. Two dialogues may be presented simultaneously as a dialogical aside, an example of which is the full Kiss me sequence. The temporal overlapping of two or more dialogues is a common feature in densely populated scenes in which the polylogue is often divided into many separate conversations simply by the way the figures are grouped on stage. This is a common device in opera, of which there is an abundance of examples in the operatic literature.
